OEM Integration Guide
Welcome to the LoadX OEM Program. This guide covers everything you need to know to integrate LoadX membranes into your sail production.
Partnership Overview
Section titled “Partnership Overview”LoadX operates as a silent manufacturing partner. We provide the high-tech membrane; you provide the finishing, branding, and customer relationship.
The Workflow
Section titled “The Workflow”-
Design Submission
You upload your sail design files (.dxf or .sail format) to our partner portal. Include:
- Basic dimensions (luff, leech, foot)
- Target boat and sail type
- Preferred fiber type and weight
- Any special reinforcement requirements

Engineering Review
Our software analyzes your design and generates optimal load paths. Within 48 hours, you receive:
- Load path visualization
- Material recommendation
- Production quote
- Estimated delivery date

Manufacturing
Upon approval, your membrane enters production in our Asian facility:
- Robotic fiber laying along calculated load paths
- High-pressure lamination in climate-controlled clean room
- Quality inspection and thickness verification

Shipping
Semi-finished blanks are shipped directly to your loft:
- Rolled (not folded) to prevent crease damage
- Protective sleeve packaging
- Corner reinforcement patches pre-installed (optional)
- Full traceability documentation

Finishing
You complete the sail at your facility:
- Cut to final shape (if using blank format)
- Add corner patches, UV covers, and edge tapes
- Install hardware (grommets, slugs, etc.)
- Apply your branding and sail numbers

IP Protection

Absolutely. Your designs are:
- Encrypted during transmission and storage
- Never shared with other partners
- Deleted from our systems 12 months after production (unless you request archival)
- Protected by our Partner NDA
We are a pure OEM service. We don’t sell sails directly to end users, and we have no interest in competing with our partners.
